As an incoming teacher, my practice is modelled around a continuous learning process in and outside the classroom. Below is a project I developed around implementing democratic practices in the classroom and how implementing this project can benefit teacher practice. Moreover, in implementing a critical pedagogical approach, I aim for engagement and equity with student voices in my classroom as a tool to improve and specialize my practice toward the diverse array of student needs in a given space. 

 

This attitude also extends to my assessment practices, as I aim to break barriers to student success by continuously engaging with student input through various methods and a continual back-and-forth feedback process. I want to decenter myself and reorient the classroom into a collective space rather than an oppressive and teacher-centred space.
